dbWatch Monitor supports connecting to multiple monitors, which can be handy in setups where you have two seperate networks and need the databases in both networks monitored.
This setup requires that the machine running dbWatch Monitor can see both the dbWatch Server systems (normally running on port 7099/tcp).
In your monitor, you click on “Monitor” in the top left corner, and select “Add server”
Then the “Add server” dialog will appear. Server name is the name you give it in dbWatch, and will be the name you will find in the tree structure. This could be a name of the network area, customer etc.
Host is the hostname og ip address that dbWatch Monitor will use to connect to the server. Username is the user you want to connect with and password is the password. You can test the connection before you login.
When you click login, its automaticly added to the tree on your left side. This tree sturcture can be altered so you dont see the dbWatch Servers, for instance if you are using multiple dbWatch Servers to spread a large database environment out across.
