Select Installation Type

The first step of the wizard lets you select the type of installation.

Select MS SQLServer as the database type, and “Add Database Instance (BULK)” as installation type.

Click “Next”.

Select Group

Select the group you wish to add the instances to. When using bulk install all instances will be added to the same group, but you can rearrange them afterwards if you wish.

Connection info

Enter the connection info for the instances you want to register in dbWatch.

dbWatch supports both OS Authentication and SQLServer Authentication. When you click on “Next” dbWatch will verify that it can contact all the instances with the information supplied. If not, it will stop and indicate what instances failed in the last column. You can click on the “ERROR” button for a detailed error message.

Installation

You are now ready to install dbWatch on the instances, click “Install” to start.
