Adding Oracle Instances in Bulk

Select Installation Type

The first step of the wizard lets you select the type of installation.

Select Oracle as the database type and “Add Database Instance (BULK)” as installation type.

Click “Next”.

Select Group

Select the group you wish to add the instances to. When using bulk install all instances will be added to the same group, but you can rearrange them afterwards if you wish.

Only the monitoring module is available in bulk install, the administration authentication must be added after the instances are registered.

Connection info

Enter the connection info for the instances you want to register in dbWatch.

When you click on “Next” dbWatch will verify that it can contact all the instances with the information supplied. If not, it will stop and give you an error message.

Installation

You are now ready to install dbWatch on the instances, click “Install” to start.
